Just got the master back from Dave McFarlane of the 1st. full length album to be produced @ Studio 6...and it sounds great....
I currently have 3 concurrent projects on the go inside Studio 6, and they couldn't be more different...
One is with a young muso named Jake Mazur, a talented guitarist I met while hosting the Mount D Jam on Sundays. I am currently teaching and mentoring Jake, and upon realising that he writes his own material, I suggested he should book some time in the studio.
The second project is with Ken Newham. Ken, a mature age singer/songwriter who often came to an Open Mic session I used to run @ The Bell Tavern in Belgrave, is currently laying down tracks for the 1st. CD of his marvellous song stories and tales.
Steve Scott, a professional melbourne muso, is a good mate who was in my band, 'The Realistics' and before that Michelle Chandler's 'Handful'. Steve is also stepping out from the sideline shadows to get his very cool original tunes down in Studio 6.
The space is working well as a small scale recording workshop and facility, and I look forward to posting some examples of the work currently on the go very soon.
